Sophia's Partnership with Religious Congregations

It has been incredible to work with Religious Congregations over the past 20 years. We have worked together to create hundreds of homes and impact the lives of countless people. Sophia would not be where it is today without our close partnerships with Religious Congregations across Ireland, their support has been instrumental from the very start of the organisation over 20 years ago. We look forward to connoting this relationship as together we help those we support recover from homelessness.

Sophia is a collaboration of religious and lay people working to support homeless and vulnerable people. It is a national social housing organisation with projects providing long term supported housing throughout Ireland. Sophia was established in 1999 with Sr. Jean Quinn as the founder on behalf of the Daughters of Wisdom.

It is a testament to Jean's original vision that decades later Sophia is now supporting over 900 people across Ireland.

Sophia is proud of the mission we share with you in supporting people recover from homelessness
