Outreach

In a number of areas we provide outreach support to families and individuals in their own home in order to help them establish secure and sustainable tenancy by providing support such as:

• Home Management

• Budgeting

• Parenting

• School Attendance

• Training/Education

• Good Neighbours

• Social Networks

Outreach is particularly hands on; it may mean going into people’s homes, rolling up the sleeves and helping work in the physical environment.

It also requires working with the individual, working through the issues which had contributed to their inability to manage their house in the first instance.

Our support service responds in a flexible way to the single person and family needs in their own home, to help them establish secure and sustainable tenancy to support them towards independent living and provide a safe environment for their children.

Nurturing Centre for Children

Sophia provides full time Nurturing Centres/ Creches at Cork Street and Donabate. In other locations our Nurturing Care is provided on a sessional basis, availing of facilities both within and outside the projects.
